H2H Challenge

The challenge at Heart 2 Heart this week is a sketch. This sketch was perfect for the card I wanted to make for my husband. I used the new Sweetheart paper pack and the SS Priceless Love Word Puzzle. My husband leaves for Afganastan this week and I wanted to make him a Valentine that tells him just how much he means to me before he leaves. Thanks H2H for a great sketch this week.

February Papercrafting Class

My February class is Valentine's Day themed using the new Sweetheart paper pack from CTMH. We are making a Gable box filled with treats and decorating a large Hershey bar. Card Patterns and H2H

I used two challenges to make this card. I used Sketch #99 at Card Patterns and Heart 2 Heart challenged us to walk on the wild side using an animal, bird or even an insect. I chose to use a ladybug for this baby card. I used all CTMH products except for the pink bakers twine.

Claudia and Company Challenge #72

This weeks at Claudia and Company they are having a recipe challenge. The recipe is two DP, three buttons, one image and at least one decorative trim. I had a request for a ladybug birthday card. I used the Mojo Monday sketch for a little bit of my inspiration.

Under the Sea

The sketch at Card Patterns is so great this week that I had to make another card for the challenge. My best friend's daughter is turning 8 on February 9th and she is having a Mermaid/Under the Sea party. I love this Octopus and I used the green leaves to make seaweed. Starfish and pearls seem like just the right touch. Thanks for stopping by.

MOJO 174

Heart 2 Heart Challenge

This weeks challenge is a little bit different. Heart 2 Heart is asking that we share an organization tip. I do not think my tips are any kind of new concept but they work for me in my little space. I live in military housing so I have never had a papercrafting area of my very own. We moved into our new military housing in October and there was a built in area. Yah me!! My organization is key because I have limited space. I hang layouts using a curtain rod. I use baskets for embellishments, punches and stickers/rub-ons. Hope this may have helped anyone with an orgainization need.

Coffee Filter Skirt

I made this card after I found a challenge at www.gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com The challenge is to use a coffee filter in your creation. I folded the coffee filter to make a skirt and a belt with ribbon. I used my favorite paperpack from CTMH called Perfect Day and the SS from CTMH called Find Your Style. Claudia and Company Challenge

The challenge this week at Claudia and Company is to make any shape card except for a square or rectangle. I decided to make a heart shaped card since Valentine's Day is on my mind. I decided to set the card on its side. I used glitter on the two heart flowers and glitter brads inside the two flowers. I also used diamond stickles on the wings of the bumble bees. Card Patterns Challenge

I made this card for the Card Patterns challenge. I accually bought this paper at Target in the dollar section a couple years ago. I have really been in a mood to make Valentine's Day Cards.

H2H Color Challenge

This is the first H2H challenge for the new year. The challenge is to use the colors Sky, Pear, Colonial White and a touch of Sorbet. This is very cheery color combo. I used all CTMH products except for the two light blue button. I believe they are Basic Grey. Use the badge on my sidebar to check out this challenge for yourself.

MOJO Monday Challenge 173

I made this card using the MOJO Monday sketch for this week. I had a lot of fun making it becasue these are colors I do not use regularly. I love this paper and my new deer that I cut out using my new Cindy Loo cricut cartridge.

Brotherly Love

My oldest son, Nolan has CP and my husband likes to stand him up sometimes because he gets very excited. Yesterday our youngest son, Kellen came over to hug his brother. Of course I missed the picture of the two of them laughing together. And Nolan trying to lick his brothers face. These are the memories you treasure.

Wings Layout

I wanted to make a layout with the Wings paperpack but I did not really have a picture that worked. So I used this picture of my best friends beautiful children. I only had the Wings bulk paper so that limited my paper choices. I embossed the large butterfly and used liquid glass on the word FAMILY. Also cut out multiple butterflies and glued them so that there wings would pop off the paper. After it was completed I thought of a lot of things that I wished I had done differently, but that is how we learn has papercrafters.

Baby Girl Card

My friend needed a baby girl card for a baby shower this weekend. She requested brown and pink and that the card say "Welcome Baby". Well this is what I came up with. I used my new Cricut Cartridge to make the deer and CTMH paper pack More To Adore.

January's Papercrafting Class

These are the cards I made for my very first papercrafting class that I am teaching at my house. This class will be on January 22nd from 1-3. We will be making five cards with envelopes for $10.00 (2 butterfly, 2 bird and 1 of the other). I really love this new Wings paper pack and Find Your Style stamp set from Close To My Heart. Top Five Projects of 2010

Some of my favorite projects from 2010. As I looked through my creations these are the ones that seem to stand out as ones that I loved without any hesitation. I often only like parts of my creations. Or I have found that I like them at the moment but when I look back I say to myself "What were you thinking?" I am sure that we all have these moments.
