O Christmas Tree

I bought these felt christmas tree at the Dollar Tree for 2/$1.00. I looked at them and thought I could decorate them and give them as a very inexpensive gift. When I got them home I was unsure of how to decorate them because I only have my papercrafting supplies. So I decided to use pearls, mini roses and organdy ribbon.

Let It Snow

This is probably the last Christmas card I will make this season. I thought it was quite fitting because we have been getting alot of snow lately at Fort Drum. Living in Virginia for just 2 short years really does make you forget what it is like to have snow all the time. I have been hoarding this button that I used on my snowflake for years. I had to find just the right recipient to care for my button. That sounds a little crazy to most but all you papercrafters know what I mean.

A Crafty Little Place Challenge

I decorated these gift bags and made matching tags. This weeks challenge at A Crafty Little Place is to make a tag or something with a tag on it. I believe these fit the description. I put my favorite one on the top. Thanks for stopping by and to everyone at A Crafty Little Place have a Happy Holiday.

Craft Fair

I set up as a vendor at a Craft Fair this weekend. Lets just say it did not go so well. But I guess I have some nice gifts for teachers and bus drivers. I also made some sticky note pad holders with matching pens but I could not get a good picture because they were wrapped in plastic bags. Maybe I will have better luck next year.

This is my second entry in the H2H challenge this week. I made this card with all CTMH products except for the stamped trees and sentiment inside the card. This SS is from MSE. The sentiment inside say "I'll have a blue, blue, blue, christmas without you!" I sent this card to my son's old school in VA. We really miss them. Happy Holidays to the Design Team all of you who enter the challenge each week.

H2H Challenge Make a Gift

This weeks challenge is to make a gift instead of a card. I have a craft show to prepare for this weekend and I made these commuter mugs for easy teacher or co-worker gifts. Each mug comes with a packet of hot chocolate. I bought these mugs at the Dollar Tree. I used all CTMH products to make these mugs.

Heart 2 Heart Challenge and A Crafty Little Place

This weeks challenge at H2H is a sketch and I decided to make a layout instead of a card. The challenge at A Crafty Little Place is Anything Goes. This is one of my favorite pictures of my son Nolan. Because of his cerebral palsy it is not always easy to get a good picture. For this layout I used the Mistletoe Paper Pack with a Dimensional Elements Ornament. Everything used on this layout is a Close To My Heart product. Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome Home

Kellen helped Mommy shovel the driveway today and had some fun playing in the snow. Daddy is gone this weekend visiting his family before his upcoming deployment to Afganastan. I made him homemade hot chocolate but he didn't like it. What kid doesn't like hot chocolate? Mine!?

Heart 2 Heart Challenge #2

After submitting my card to the H2H Challenge I decided I wanted to make a matching ornament. I was a little nervious using these colors again for Christmas, but this ornament is growing on me. This has been a great challenge because it has really made me think outside of the box. Thanks Heart 2 Heart.
All CTMH products were used except for the glittler that I purchased at Michaels.

H2H Challenge

This weeks challenge is to use the colors Brown Bag, Indian Corn Blue and Sunset. I wanted to make a Christmas card but didn't think these colors would work. Well I guess I was wrong. I used my favorite SS All Decked Out with lots of glitter and bitty sparkles. In case you can not tell I used Brown Bag for the snowman's buttons, pipe and arms.

Pumpkins

I decided to do something different this year since Kellen didn't really like putting his hands in the pumpkin last year. I found this kit at our PX and you just stick the eyes, nose, mouth and ears into your pumpkin kinda like a Mr Potato Head. I thought Kellen will love this... and he did until we were done and we could not light the pumpkin. Kellen said Mommy come on we need to get the light for the pumpkin. So this morning we carved one of our little pumpkins and lit it with a tealight. This made Kellen happy and mommy was able to roast some yummy pumpkin seeds.

Boo at the Zoo

We went to Boo at the Zoo at Thompson Park Zoo in Watertown, NY. The kids wore their costumes and trick or treated inside the zoo. It was fun and we saw wolves, eagles, mountain lions, elk, turkeys and many farm animals. We had a good time and then went to Ponderosa for lunch. Kellen even sat with Ronald to discuss french fries. Kellen loves Donald's french fries.

Paper Craft Star Recipe Challenge

I made this Halloween card for the Paper Craft Star recipe challenge. The recipe was to make a card 5.5 x 5.5 with a 5 in mat. You had to score your mat 5 times 1/4 in. You also had to use three buttons and three flowers cut from a diecut or punch. I used the Hooligans paperpack from CTMH. I put a button in the middle of my big flower and pear colored buttons in the middle of my mini flowers. I inked my score lines to make them more visible. Thanks for looking at my newest creation.
