New Close To My Heart Items

Well I guess it takes new Close To My Heart products to get me inspired to scrapbook. I have barely made anything these past months. It felt good to make a couple cards and a layout. I have had this picture of my niece at the beach in Ocean City for a long time and finally found all the right stuff to make a layout. Hopefully you will see more of me in the future.

Family

We did a free photo shoot with a girl who lives on post who recently completed photography courses. I wanted to have pictures taken for my husband and my brother came with his puppy to take some pictures for my parents. We ended up with a lot of great photos. Here are just a few.

Wedding Card

I needed to make a wedding card for this evening. Have not been scrapbooking much lately, but did enjoy making this card. Have a great weekend.

H2H Challenge

Well it has been a long time since I have posted on my blog. I really just needed a break from papercrafting. I needed a bridal shower card for this weekend and wanted something simple. So I used Bliss paper and embellishments. I also used pearls and the January stamp of the month. The only item on this card that is not CTMH is the ribbon. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Kellen

Today is my youngest son's birthday

and he is turning five. Can't believe he has really grown this much this fast. We are heading to Chuckie Cheese for a fun day with family and friends.

Pure Innocence

I made a trade with my best friend, Jess, and got to try out one of these adorable Pure Innocence stamp sets. I used CTMH Mayberry paper, crocheted flowers with buttone tied in bakers twine. I also used my new edge punch by Martha Stewart.

Birthday Card For My Niece

I made this birthday card for my niece whose birthday is coming up at the end of this month. She will be 11 this year and I can hardle believe were the time has gone. I used cocoa cardstock for the base and used my cricut to cut out circles in lagoon, pear and cotton candy cardstock. I also used bakers twine and a flower that I got at Michael's on clearance. (Sorry can not remember the brand)

Happy Anniversary To My Husband In Afghanistan

Today is our 9 year wedding anniversary. Although we are not together today I will be thinking about my husband and all the reasons why I married him nine years ago today.

Heart 2 Heart Sketch Challenge

This weeks challenge at Heart 2 Heart is a very simple but lovely sketch. I really like round cards but rarely make them. I used Mayberry paper, A Hop stamp set, Welcome Home stamp set and pearls. Nolan's Birthday Party

Nolan's birthday party was yesterday and I did a monkey theme because I call Nolan

my monkey. Each person took home a little bag filled with candies from the table. It was a fun day and even though it was sunny outside it sure was cold. Not like the warm spring day when I brought him home from the hospital. Enjoy your Sunday.

Claudia and Company Recipe Challenge

Claudia and Company have changed their challenges to bi-weekly. The newest challenge which starts today is a recipe challenge. The recipe is to use two pattern papers, buttons, circles, scallops, real or faux stitching and a sentiment. I used the paper pack Mayberry with the stamp sets Whoo Loves You, Love You Forever and Simple Stitches all from Close To My Heart. H2H Challenge- Three Times

This weeks challenge at Heart 2 Heart is to use three stamped images to make a scene. I used Splendor paper and the stamp set Beary Best. (I might be wrong about the name of the ss) My dads birthday is this week and so I made this card for him. I have been trying new ways to take pictures with my camera. Heart 2 Heart Sponsor

The Kissing Challenge

Heart 2 Heart had a challenge to use the Kissing Method. It is a little hard to see but I used the Solo H and stamped it with a background stamp on Outdoor Denim. Then I cut out the H. I used the new paper Lucky and random stamped on Desert Sand cardstock. The felt arrow is not CTMH. I made this card for my husband's 33rd birthday next month.

Claudia and Company- Recipe Challenge

Claudia and Company had a recipe challenge this week. The recipe is 1 tag, 2 buttons, ribbon and a sticker. I made a tag using my cricut and added two pieces of ribbon. The buttons are tied with brown sugar bakers twine and the first B in the word baby is a sticker. I think this is my last baby card for awhile. H2H and MOJO #179

At Heart 2 Heart this week the challenge is to make something that references cold. This time of year when I think of cold I think of a nice warm cup of hot cocoa, tea or coffee. I made this card using the new Bliss paper and the sorbet paper is from Perfect Day. The stamps are A Sip and Warm Memories. For this card I used the MOJO Monday sketch for this week.
